Rod Core Chokes worden voornamelijk gebruikt voor   EMI-bescherming van motoren, en contacten en voor het ontkoppelen van elektronische circuits . Luchtspoelen worden vooral gebruikt voor ontkoppeling in RF-circuits en vallen op door kwaliteitsfactoren (Q).
Eigenschappen:
Hogere frequentie, lagere verspilling
Hoge nominale stroom en lage DCR, kan de stroom worden bereikt tot 150 A.
De vlakke bodem is een betrouwbare installatie.  
Magnetisch afgeschermd, niet gemakkelijk te beïnvloeden door temperatuur.  
Loodvrije producten, voldoet aan RoHS.  
Prijs rechtstreeks in de fabriek
Voor de stokkern is de belangrijkste functie dat  het AC-signaal  gefilterd  of resonant kan worden met een weerstand en condensator .
