Allgemeine Beschreibung
Incoloy 800 /800H ist eine Nickel-Eisen-Chrom-Legierung mit guter Festigkeit und ausgezeichneter Oxidations- und Karburierbeständigkeit in Hochtemperaturatmosphären.
Ein hoher Chromgehalt verleiht dem Incoloy 800 eine gute Oxidationsbeständigkeit. Es widersteht auch vielen wässrigen Medien und ist relativ frei von Spannungsrisskorrosion.  Incoloy 800 hat eine ausgezeichnete Beständigkeit gegen Salpetersäure bei Konzentrationen bis ca. 70% und bei Temperaturen bis zum Siedepunkt. Es hat auch eine gute Beständigkeit gegen organische Säuren, wie Ameise, Essig und propionisch. Es widersteht einer Vielzahl von oxidierenden und nicht oxidierenden Salzen, aber nicht Halogenidsalzen.
Typische Anwendungen sind Wärmebehandlungsanlagen, petrochemische Pyrolyse-Schläuche und Rohrleitungssysteme, Ummantelung für elektrische Heizelemente, Lebensmittelverarbeitungsanlagen.

Schweißen von Incoloy 800
Alle traditionellen Schweißverfahren können verwendet werden, um Incoloy 800 zu ähnlichen Legierungen oder anderen Metallen, wie Gas-Wolfram-Lichtbogenschweißen (GTAW), Plasma-Lichtbogenschweißen (PAW), Metall-Trägheitsgasschweißen (MIG) und so weiter zu schweißen. Vor dem Schweißen Kalk, Fett, Markierung und Aufdruck entfernen.
Empfehlung von Fülldraht zum Schweißen von Incoloy 800: ERNiCrMo-3
